The Old Horse Chestnut Tree Bangor-on-Dee North Wales.
The Old Horse Chestnut Tree Bangor-on-Dee North Wales
The Old Horse Chestnut Tree Bangor-on-Dee situated in the grounds of a property at the Overton end of the racecourse.  This photograph can only be taken for a short period during the Spring, it shows a most unusual Horse Chestnut tree.  If you look carefully, you will see that the blossom is two distinct colours, in the main dark pink and in the foreground white.  A branch from a tree with white blossom must have been grafted on when the tree was young.  The area around the tree is now surrounded by a tall hedge and it is now no longer easy to see or photograph.
